Terms of Service

Effective date: 10 April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and HashCoreAI, a sole proprietorship based in the United Kingdom, regarding your use of the Fuel Price mobile application (the "App"). Please read them carefully before using the App. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not install or use the App.

Throughout this document, "we", "us" and "our" refer to HashCoreAI. "You" and "your" refer to the individual using the App.

1. Introduction

Fuel Price is a mobile application for iOS and Android that helps users in the United Kingdom find petrol and diesel prices at nearby filling stations, save favourites, and receive optional notifications when prices drop below a threshold. The fuel price data is sourced from the UK Government's Fuel Finder voluntary price disclosure scheme, which is published under the Open Government Licence.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, installing, opening or otherwise using the App, you confirm that:

1. You have read and understood these Terms.
2. You agree to be bound by them.
3. You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.
4. You also agree to the terms of the app store from which you obtained the App (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, though the App is designed for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. Users aged 13–17 should have a parent or guardian review these Terms.
• You must comply with all laws that apply to you in your country or region, including driving and road safety laws — do not interact with the App while driving.
• You must also comply with the end-user licence agreement of the Apple App Store or the Google Play Terms of Service, depending on where you installed the App.

We may refuse service or terminate accounts that do not meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Your account

Some features of the App require an account. You can create an account by signing in with:

• Email and password
• Google Sign-In
• Sign in with Apple
• Anonymous sign-in (a device-local UID with no personal details)

Your responsibilities

• Keep your sign-in credentials confidential.
• Do not share your account with anyone else. One account per person.
• Make sure the information you provide (such as your email) is accurate.
• Tell us immediately at contact@hashcoreai.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

You remain responsible for everything done under your account until you report a problem.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time via the in-app "Delete account" option in the Settings screen, or by emailing us at contact@hashcoreai.com. Deletion removes your profile, favourites, alerts and push token from our Realtime Database, subject to the retention notes in our Privacy Policy.

5. Licence to use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the relevant app store's rules.

This licence does not transfer any ownership in the App, and we keep all rights that are not expressly granted to you.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

1. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise try to extract the source code of the App, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
2. Scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror or otherwise bulk-download data from our servers, from the Firebase Realtime Database, or from our Cloudflare Worker proxy.
3. Abuse the Firebase Cloud Messaging integration — for example by trying to register fake tokens, impersonate other users, or trigger notifications to people who did not set them up.
4. Create large numbers of fake alerts, favourites or accounts, or otherwise behave in a way that is designed to overload, distort, or test the limits of the system.
5. Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App, our backend, our Cloudflare Worker, the gov.uk Fuel Finder data source, or any connected system.
6. Use the App to carry out any unlawful activity, to infringe the rights of others, or to send harassing, abusive, or defamatory content.
7. Resell, redistribute, sublicense, lease or make the App available to any third party as a service.
8. Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
9. Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to access the App, other than accessibility tools you are entitled to use.
10. Bypass or attempt to bypass any security, rate limiting, or authentication mechanism.

Breaking these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Fuel price data disclaimer

Important — please read this section carefully.

The fuel prices and station details shown in the App are obtained from the UK Government Fuel Finder voluntary price disclosure scheme, via the retailers' published price files. We collect this data through a Cloudflare Worker proxy, cache it briefly, and display it to you in the App.

• Data is typically updated every 30 minutes, but the actual frequency depends on each retailer and on the Fuel Finder scheme. We cannot guarantee freshness, accuracy, or completeness.
• Prices at the pump may differ from prices shown in the App. Retailers can change prices at any time. Always check the price displayed on the forecourt before fuelling.
• Station locations, opening hours and fuel types may be out of date or incorrect. Always verify before relying on them.
• We rely on a third-party data source over which we have no editorial control. If a retailer submits incorrect data to Fuel Finder, that incorrect data may appear in the App.
• Distances to stations are calculated from your device's reported location, which may itself be imprecise.

You use the fuel price data at your own risk. The App is an aid, not a guarantee. Do not make driving decisions — especially on a low fuel warning — solely on the basis of a price shown in the App.

8. No guarantees on notifications

Price alerts and other push notifications are provided on a best-effort basis. We cannot guarantee that:

• Notifications will be delivered at all, or on time.
• The price at the station is still the price that triggered the alert when the notification arrives.
• Your device will be in a state to receive a notification (you may be offline, in Do Not Disturb, or battery-optimised by the operating system).
• Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification Service, or Google Play Services will be available without interruption.

Missed or delayed notifications are not a failure of the service in any contractual sense. If timely notification is critical to you, do not rely on Fuel Price alone.

9. Premium subscription (if offered)

If we introduce a Premium plan or other in-app purchases in the future:

• The purchase will be handled through Apple's App Store billing or Google Play Billing, depending on your device.
• You will be shown the price, billing frequency, and what's included before you confirm the purchase.
• Auto-renewing subscriptions will renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• Cancellation, refunds, and billing disputes are managed through your Apple or Google account under their standard terms, not by HashCoreAI directly.
• If you cancel a subscription, you will normally retain access to Premium features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
• Premium features are provided "as is" and are subject to the same disclaimers and limitations in these Terms.

If and when such a plan launches, we will update these Terms with more specific information. Until then, this section is a placeholder and no charges apply.

10. Intellectual property

Our rights

All rights in the App — including source code, design, branding, the "Fuel Price" and "HashCoreAI" names, logos, graphics, layouts, and accompanying documentation — are owned by HashCoreAI or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.

Fuel data

Fuel price data shown in the App is published by UK fuel retailers under the Fuel Finder scheme and is Crown Copyright where applicable, provided under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Attribution: Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Map data

Map tiles, imagery and place data are provided by Google Maps Platform and are subject to Google's terms, including the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.

Your content

You retain all rights in any content you create (for example, alert names or favourites). By storing it in our Realtime Database, you grant us a limited licence to host, process and display it back to you solely so the App can work.

11. Third-party services

The App depends on several third-party services. Each has its own terms and privacy policies:

• Google / Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics) — firebase.google.com/terms

• Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store, Push Notifications) — apple.com/legal
• Cloudflare (proxy Worker) — cloudflare.com/terms
• gov.uk Fuel Finder (data source) — subject to the Open Government Licence

Your use of those services through the App is subject to their terms in addition to ours. If any of these providers become unavailable, the App may stop working in whole or in part.

12. Availability and changes to the App

• We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or because a third-party provider changes.
• We try to give reasonable notice of major changes, but we cannot always do so in advance (for example, urgent security fixes).
• The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose, except to the extent such warranties cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

1. We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: lost fuel savings, wasted journeys, wrong prices shown, missed alerts, lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill.
2. We will not be liable for any harm caused by third-party services (Firebase, Google Maps, Apple, Cloudflare, the gov.uk Fuel Finder data) that we rely on but do not control.
3. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to HashCoreAI in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £10 GBP for users who have not paid anything.

What we do not exclude

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so under English law. In particular, we do not exclude or limit our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
• Your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded.

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your non-waivable statutory rights.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HashCoreAI and its officers, agents and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

• Your use or misuse of the App.
• Your breach of these Terms.
• Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
• Any content you submit or store via the App.

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with us.

15. Termination

• You can stop using the App at any time by deleting your account (in-app "Delete account" or by email) and uninstalling the App.
• We may suspend or terminate your access — in whole or in part, with or without notice — if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, abused the service, or if we are required to do so by law, or if a third-party provider forces us to.
• On termination, the licence in section 5 ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (including sections 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16 and 18) will continue to apply.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute, except that if you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your local courts, where your local law requires this.

Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under the UK GDPR — see our Privacy Policy for details.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

• Update the Effective date at the top of this document.
• Post a notice in the App and/or on our hosted terms page.
• Where changes are material, ask you to re-accept them before continuing to use affected features.

If you do not agree to a change, your only remedy is to stop using the App and delete your account. Continued use of the App after the effective date of a change counts as acceptance of the new Terms.

18. Miscellaneous

• Severability — if any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force.
• No waiver — if we do not enforce a right, that does not mean we have given it up.
• Assignment — you may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them, for example, if we reorganise HashCoreAI as a company.
• Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app purchase terms, make up the entire agreement between you and HashCoreAI about the App.
• No agency — nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship.
• Force majeure — we are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (internet outages, power failures, acts of government, natural disasters, etc.).
